About this weekend...

Updated: Jul 22, 2019

Y'all, my cup runneth over! I always preach that you can't pour from an empty cup and it really is so true! I think us moms are the worst about taking the time to fill up our own cups. Let's pretend you are a vase filled with water. You have everything you need to survive but you're constantly pouring water out here, spilling some over there- taking care of everyone else and never filling your vase back up. You will eventually run out of water! But if you continue to fill your vase every day, it will continue to overflow to everyone around you.

I think everyone's cup gets filled in different ways. There are many ways that I feel fulfilled, renewed and joyful. Sometimes it's a quiet soak in the tub or another day it may be a run in the park. Every day is my morning routine- coffee, scripture, personal development. But this past weekend, I got my cup filled being surrounded by the most inspiring, loving, and amazing people.

You see, every year for the last four years, I attend an annual conference for the company I work with, Beachbody. I've been a coach now, for a little over four years and this is my favorite event to attend. And every single year, I learn and grow as an individual and a coach. This year was no different, except that it kind of was. You see, I've been in kind of a bad place the last few months- stressed, overwhelmed, lost, negative, etc. Not like me at all. I honestly, hadn't been able to figure out why but I've spent this time in prayer and lots of thought. I've been asking God to show me my purpose, how I can best serve others and fulfill his plan for me. And quite honestly, I've been very impatient with Him.

But this weekend was a reminder to me that it's not about me, it's about what I can do for others. I had been feeling like my job as a coach wasn't making a big enough impact because I wasn't where I wanted to be in rank in the company. But rank, was not the reason I started coaching. I started coaching because I fell in love with workout programs, the community and the mission of this company- to help others live a healthy, happy life. That's what I've been doing for the last 4 years! I may not be where I want to be, but I have lived this vision, I have made a difference, I have had a positive impact on others. I have to be okay with the fact that not everyone will want to join me on this journey and love on the people that do want to .

If you're reading this and you are one of those people who took a chance and joined me, I want to say, Thank you! I hope that I have had some kind of positive impact on you but I know that YOU have a positive impact on me!

This weekend was truly amazing! My tribe is strong and fierce! We do not compete with each other, we lift each other up. This group of ladies are my people and I'm so thankful that this opportunity, these workout programs brought us all together. Not one of us would have met had it not been for this company. We come from all over the country but unite in the mission to help others! It's a wonderful thing!

Oh and the speakers that we heard from, EPIC! We not only heard the stories of failure, hardships, triumph and success from some of the top coaches in our companies but we got to hear from THE RACHEL HOLLIS! She was hilariously motivating and inspirational and just amazing! If you haven't read any of her books yet, I highly recommend you start with Girl, Wash Your Face! She will speak to your soul!

It was an EPIC weekend and just what I needed!

So, here is your reminder to fill your cup! You don't need a weekend away, you need to find something that you can do everyday that will keep your cup from drying up! I promise everyone around you will be so glad that you did! And you're always welcome to join our tribe of amazing women! We promise to lift you up, support you and love on you! You belong here!
